Doctor Sleep
by Stephen King
I’m always cautious when starting a Stephen King book- I’m not always a fan but Doctor Sleep was a fantastic sequel to The Shining.
It had quite a slow start but I found that there was a lot of character development- I really felt I knew each character of the story by the time the plot got going.
Abra was a delight to read about, by far my favourite King character yet- and plot wise I thought the story was entertaining, keeping enough elements of The Shining running through that I couldn’t possibly forget Dan Torrance’s painful childhood.
Will definitely need to read some more Stephen King and watch the film for Doctor Sleep (even if it doesn’t follow the story of the book)
