I must say, I fell in love with “Spiky Susan” (as I’ve been affectionally calling her) from the off! She had such a strong sense of self, and a dry humour that I found nothing but endearing! From reading lots of comments by other readers, I thought she was simply misunderstood.

I loved the simple, family focused story at the heart of this book — I did guess the two big twists (but that is part of the fun for me!) but I won’t spoil them for you here, feel free to drop me a message if you’ve read the book, too!

All in all, I’d recommend this books to family and friends and will probably pass it on for others to enjoy once lockdown is over. I can’t wait to read more from Sarah!
