Damon and Hannah are my newest favorite Regency coupling! Childhood friends, enemies to lovers, fake courting, making another (brother Ollie) jealous and witty banter. (I had this on my "want to read" for so long but I felt privileged to read a collector's edition with a novella with Damon's point of view).

The lengths that Hannah would go to to turn the head of her childhood crush was so fun to see played out. I loved sweet Hannah.. Though she may have had her head in the clouds a little too much to not see what was clearly (to me as a reader) the best option in front of her. I found myself feeling angry with and not very sympathetic to Ollie at the way he kind of treated/avoided Hannah at different times.

Damon- I saw and felt his feelings clearly and just kind of wanted to take Hannah by the shoulders and pushed her into him and made him see her the way he does. The things he says and does just make you feel giddy and want to cheer him on so loudly from the sidelines!

I do wish to see the relationship of the brothers repaired in the next book, I did feel sorry for each of them and the view/opinions they had of each other, but feel hopeful for a repair after a little bit of talking they did in the novella and the hard truths they laid out of how they felt to be "the heir" and "the spare".
