The Great Boom is the weakest book so far in this series but still fun.
Basically we have Polly and her world and tribe. I wasn't all that interested in her or her story or her people. The Cat Tribe isn't fun like the rest of the characters. Saying that Gina becomes better and DJ and Hilo's development is great. I also really like the flashbacks overall. It's just probably more uneven than I would have liked. Even my daughter (Sailor, she's 4) got a little bored in the middle.
