I absolutely loved this book. It's a perfect combination of fantasy, adventure, atmosphere, whimsy and fun, with loveable characters and endless quirky and fascinating worldbuilding. How could I not love a world with bagel trees? 

Anyone who loves animal companions or magical creatures in their fantasy stories will love this book, which is full of weird and wonderful species, from yeti to unicorns to miniature penguins. 

Overall an imaginative, magical story, written in a captivating way and full of great illustrations. I can't wait to read book 2.
