The Sword of Summer
by Rick Riordan
3.5 /5 ~ Finally finished this after deciding it would be better to audiobook it.
I couldn't seem to get into it and I think that's because I didn't feel a connexion to Magnus. As the story went on, I found myself loving Samira and Hearthstone and Blitz. Loved seeing a deaf character using sign language and also a muslim kickass girl. Those three characters are great and I hope we see them again in the next book.
It's just a shame I didn't feel that much appreciation for the narrator and main character.
As a Riordan book, it's no surprise it was funny and full of sass (although not as much as his other series imo...). I now hope to be more into the next book.
