This is a deeply important story, though it helps if you have some knowledge about the military side of the Vietnam War before going in. Lee’s books perfectly saddles the divide of the military and culture during the war, showing where both sides were coming from. Lee amplifies the powerful voices of the POW/MIA wives and mothers who have fought so relentlessly for the families.
