I’m going to be honest, I wasn’t looking forward to reading about Moffy because I wasn’t super interested in him as a character. However, I’m glad I did because he ended up being someone that grew on me. There are a lot more layers than meet the eye when it comes to Moffy. His environment and the identity of his parents have led him to make certain decisions in his life such as abstaining from drinking. It was interesting to see how growing up famous from the womb can affect how someone thinks and makes decisions. We got to explore his fear of emotional investment and romantic relationships in this first book of this series and his love for his cousins and family. Farrow was also really interesting since, despite what the societal stereotype of his appearance is, he is very responsible about his job and is academically brilliant. It’s clear that he makes his own decisions and cares a lot about his autonomy and sometimes despite being able accomplish things financially or academically chooses not to because he exercises his freedom of choice. He enjoys his career as a bodyguard and it was super cool to see that. Moffy and Farrow care a lot about each other and it will be interesting to see how their dynamic might change after this first book considering that they still have to keep their relationship a secret but their loved ones already know about it. We will see…
