A group of people on one of those US islands that tourists like to go to but which are also poverty stricken and such is plagued by some sort of wind-demon that slaughters a whole load of people. It's a good horror story, the creature itself well-realised and scary, as much a spolied child or wild animal as a malevoent spirit finding new and interesting ways of killing people with wind. Not sure about the ending.
