No One Is Talking About This by Patricia Lockwood

i wish the title of this was actually true for this book.

as mean as this might sound, but this book is just full of nonsensical blabber and i would think outdated internet slang that’s supposed to show something i am guessing?

i think the one thing this book very clearly shows is that right now as long as your audience is big enough you can get anything not only published but praised, even if it’s neither worthy to be called a book not should it one.

that being said, i am apparently not the audience for this at all since i don’t use twitter.

i am guessing that’s the problem? that i just don’t „get“ this book because i don’t use and because of that don’t really understand twitter?

because this book didn’t really make a lot of sense to me.

there was a lot of not really connected thoughts written down. that’s it.
there is some connection in it that there is this over arching topic of internet and how extremely consuming some internet aspects can be.

but i don’t understand why this book exists and what it’s supposed to do?

as i said i guess i am just not the audience for it because i am not part of the twitter world which this author is apparently well known in.

for me this was one of those books that i don’t understand why or how it was published. and i am not saying it to be mean, i just honestly don’t get it and don’t understand what made what’s on this book so important that it was necessary to publish it?

and not only that but also put it on a book prize list?

i am guessing i am not smart enough for this book.

but i don’t recommend it at all and if you don’t know the author, this book isn’t worth the time reading it.
