If you wanted some more backstory for the Klingons in Star Trek Discovery then this might be the graphic novel for you. It explores the Klingon perspective of the Klingon Federation War. We get more scenes with L'Rell and Voq as well as the other Klingons. It's short and really just gives more context rather than having a standalone plot. Definitely skippable if Klingons weren't your favorite part of season 1 of Start Trek Discovery, though.
Moderate: War
Minor: Xenophobia
