This one was definitely slower than the first one …
With the way the first one ended I wasn’t sure where this story was going to go at all. I thought it got off to a quick and exciting start with a twist I did not see coming at all!
Then it slowed down in the middle, got a little angsty at times which is why it’s losing the half star from me. I wasn’t sure I liked where the story was going with Tessa and Corrick at that point ….
But then it picked right back up at the end and left us with a cliff hanger that makes me a little mad that the next book isn’t out yet!
All in all a solid follow up and I hope the trilogy closes out with a bang!
