Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelly
4.0

This book was heavy! (story wise even though it IS a hefty book)
Concentration camps were horrible, I already knew this, but to read about the "Rabbits" and the horrible medical surgeries that were forced upon them. It was so terrible! All in the "name of science"
I loved Caroline. She was fierce and noble in her pursuits during the war for refugees in New York and overseas in Paris.
Kasia -was so brave at the end.
Herta -I had no sympathies for at all.
Great historical novel.
