Switched
by Amanda Hocking
read this book faster than I have read one in a long time. I literally stayed up late reading this one!
Wow. I loved this book. The main character Wendy was really cool, and I would have loved to been her friend! I loved her stubborn attitude. Like I’ve said before in many of my other reviews or posts, I am a huge fan of fantasy. Switched made me love the genre even more.
In Switched you learn about the Trylle right along with Wendy. When you read it you feel like you’re right next to her.
I liked the story alot, but the characters were what made me love the book. First you meet Wendy, who is awesome! Then you meet her family, Kim, her “mom”, Maggie her “aunt”, and Matt, her “brother”. Apart from her mom, Wendy has a really loving family. Then there’s Finn. What more can I say than that he’s perfect!? Elora and Rhys are who Wendy meets when she gets to the Trylle world and both are great characters. Elora is your typical fairytale Queen, and Rhys was just a friend that was there to cheer you up. Willa, also a Trylle, was a funny character and a super nice friend to Wendy. There were a bunch of other characters but those were just a few of my favorites that really made the book for me!
Overall, it reminded me of the Princess Diaries + fantasy! Every page of this book was worth reading!
