kirby2002 's review for:
Reign of Madness
by Kel Kade
If I had a dollar for every time I rolled my eyes, I would be a very rich woman. I only finished this because of the brilliant performance of Nick Podehl and the hope that the overall story would make the cringy parts worth it (like the first one). Spoiler alert: it didn't. This is basically a story of young adults jumping to conclusions, overreacting over the littlest things, and being completely oblivious to what is right in front of them. Don't even get me started on Rezkin. It's like Brad Pitt and George Clooney had a baby. I mean, come on. Every woman who met him would immediately fall in love/lust over him. I swear they would get naked and jump on one foot if he asked them to. Your MC should be attractive, smart, and strong, but it's ridiculous. He is fantastic at everything, and I mean everything. He is a "Master" of everything (healing, trade, potions, weapons); he knows the answer to every question, has knowledge no one has had for centuries, and so on. But then he doesn't understand what friendship is or what feelings are. Oh, and the book just ends. It's safe to say that I will not be continuing with this series.
