If you want to read this book solely because it is being recommended as similar to The Secret History or some dark academia story, you migt get dissappointed. However, it is still worth the read. When one of the death girls feels more lost than ever, she decides to go to the house of the famous dead poet she idolised, which changes the atmosphere in that house. No much happens in the book in terms of plot -  rather, it is an exploration of people dealing with grief and sorrow, and how people affect each other in unexpecting ways. Meg Wolitzer's writing makes it feel like you just dropped into someone's life, but the writing makes you keep on reading and is able to make you feel like the people whose life you have just fallen into
