I haven’t read this series since I was 12. The pacing is a lot slower than I remember it being and the romance was heavily foreshadowed but in was a fantastic fantasy world and I love the magic system bc I had never and still haven’t since seen magic used in a book similarly to how it was used in this series. It still gives me the same tingles it did when I was a kid although as an adult, I see & understand more than I did back then. It was enjoyable and quick
