SLAY by Brittney Morris
5.0

As the late Chadwick stated, "to be young, talented, and gifted." I kept thinking of that line while reading this masterpiece. This book speaks to a certain type of blackness that is not often spoken about. This book touches of recognizes other people's blackness, standing firming in your own, dangers of not listening to yourself, black women in tech, and diaspora as a whole. Claire is a character that I related too and I wish that Slay was real so I could join. However, I believe that slay already exists but not in digital form. It's a collective community initiative. The cards in this book were pure gold. I wish I could reclaim my time as well.
