My pre-order arrived just in time for Latinx Heritage Month and this has gone immediately to one of my best books of this year.
I'll freely admit it: I'm madly in love with everyone in this book. Yadriel, Julian, Luca, Maritza- ALL OF THEM.
This is easily one of the LGBTQ+ books of the year- it follows yadriel, a trans gay brujo, who is on a mission to prove himself to his traditional Latino family. It has big families, magic, ghosts, friendship, a paranormal romance, gorgeous depictions of Dia de Muertos- literally the perfect combination of everything I could ask for in a book.
Everyone needs to read this!! especially if you want something for October/November time and like 'the grumpy' and 'the soft one' romances
