More of a 2.5 rating.

This probably wasn't the best introduction to Squirrel Girl. I've been meaning to check out the comics, but haven't gotten around to it. For some reason this book was put in the teen section of the library, when it easily could have fit in the juvenile section, but I think that's more because Doreen is fourteen in this book.

I could have done without the constant footnotes. I didn't think they were necessary at all and didn't really add any humor to it. Also, it's a major pain when you're reading the ebook version.

I think I was just expecting more out of this book, but at least it gave me the passing idea of a Rocket Raccoon and Squirrel Girl teamup, which would be amazing.
