Leider war es komplett anders als die Hauptreihe Under His Heel.... Es gab so viel mehr Drama … und ich mochte die Hauptcharaktere überhaupt nicht – Emil noch weniger als Johan. Der Schreibstil war zwar immer noch gut, aber es war einfach nicht meins. Und das ganze Puppy-Play-Zeug war … sagen wir einfach, nichts für mich. Da es darüber hinaus nichts anderes zu bieten hatte, fand ich das Buch auch nicht wirklich heiß. Und ich muss ehrlich sagen: Die Szene mit Tracht und Alex fand ich seltsam. Stumpfes Verprügeln passt einfach nicht zu Trachts Stil.

Unfortunately, it was completely different from the main series Under His Heel.... There was so much more drama, and I really didn’t like the main characters—especially Emil, even less than Johan. The writing style was still good, but it just wasn’t my thing. And the whole puppy play stuff… let’s just say, it wasn’t for me. Since the book didn’t offer much beyond that, I didn’t find it particularly sexy either. And to be honest, I found the scene with Tracht and Alex strange. Mindless beating just doesn’t fit Tracht’s style.
