Starship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlein
2.5
slow-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: Complicated
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: No

Hmmmmm, well it was definitely engaging in some parts. I will admit I didn't really know what I was getting into. Also, there wasn't a lot of action--it was focused more on the beginning and then end.

What I would have liked to see more of:
More world-building. The aspects that were there were fun! But I wanted more. Military tribunals, enlisting, and more could have been fleshed out.

Less of?
It was definitely a product of its time, so you can definitely get the 1950-1960s gender thing.

Recommended for:
Someone who likes softer sci-fi and enjoys action movies. Someone into classics like Dorian Gray as there is going to be a lot of philosophizing.
