This was something. I’m not sure what I expected to get out of it, but it definitely wasn’t the heavy themes situated throughout the book. The book was very slow in the first half, so that when the last half started unveiling the backstories leading up to the resolution, it all felt a bit convoluted and kind of all over the place. I still don’t know if there was a real resolution here as there wasn’t real justice for the events that occurred. I don’t necessarily think I needed a happy ending, but if felt like there was little accountability for the trauma these girls went through.
