The Trouble with Drowning
by Heather Hach
challenging
mysterious
fast-paced
TW suicide attempt
This book was a definite page turner. It was full of deceit, stalking, obsession, big highs and low lows. Kat and Jacob could have had a very healthy relationship if Kat was more honest....
I felt sorry for the way that Kat was raised (she keeps a lot under wraps in the story and I don't want to give anything away) but all is not as it seems. It was hard to see her get the help she needed when she broke down, get diagnosed with a disorder, start but stop her meds because she thought she was "better without them" and then proceed to make a mess of Jacob's new life..... It's hard to explain. It was "hard to look" but "hard to look away" so to speak.
