I'm so glad we got more on Cole and Patrick. While this is considered a standalone I definitely recommend reading the first book, The Rockstar to enjoy this a bit better. 

My heart broke for Cole through the majority of the book. It took alot of courage doe him to walk away from the love of his life when he knew he deserved better. 

It wasn't until wayater in the book that we learned why Patrick was so afraid to come out and after reading about it, its completely understandable.
