That being said, I wish the pacing and the plot elements were resolved a little bit better (the Toremi war was barely skimmed over, and I know it wasn't the focus of the book but the dynamics we saw in those colonies were so delicious that I can't help but want more!), and I'm not too sure how I feel about the whole 'Lovey is a person' thing, especially in our current climate and with how much AI is taking over our lives - in the worst way. I get the sentiment behind it, but I can't help but be apprehensive (Jenks was kind of my least favorite of the bunch precisely for this reason 😬)
I do think I'll be continuing on, because reading the synopsis for the next installment already has me hooked!!
