paddlefoot55 's review for:
Melody: standalone rock star romance
by Lilliana Anderson
Copy received from author for an honest review
I had somehow missed this book when it was originally released at A Beautiful Melody, so it was good going in with fresh eyes.
I have to say, at each and every turn in this story I was frustrated with at least one of our main character, brothers Marcus and Theo, and our leading lady Naomi (whom you would have met if you have read book 2, Forever).
Oy, these boys. I am so conflicted. I 95% of the time dislike Marcus, but then there is that 5% where he is all swoony. But man, is he an arrogant ar$e most of the time. I could get the bad boy attraction that Naomi had, then he would something that made me all "screw you, sunshine!"
Then Theo runs so hot and cold, and I am not sure if I like him or not at times. Though I am #TeamTheo most of the book.
My heart hurts for Naomi as she is stuck in the middle of this tug of war between Marcus and Theo - no, there is no cheating, in case you were wondering! - and I wanted to walk out of the situation on her behalf, flicking them both the bird as I left hahah
I am really liking the reread of this rereleased series, and now am looking forward to Rock hitting my kindle soon.
