4-4.5 stars - I'm still forming my thoughts, but let me throw some down here quickly before I lose them.

The Starless Sea is the first book that I have read by Erin Morgenstern and I am now looking forward to reading The Night Circus as I've heard good things about that one as well. If you are a lover of a book about books and stories within stories, please pick this up immediately.

The Starless Sea is a story of Zachary Rollins, a video gaming masters student in Vermont, that gets tangled into another story after finding an authorless book in his campus library. As his story begins to collide with that of Dorian, Mirabel, Allegra, the Keeper, Eleanor, and Simon, I found myself being pulled in. The narration choice for the audiobook was perfect, just the tone that I would want a story within a story within another story to be told in. I appreciated that Erin also included a friend that was working so hard to figure out what exactly happened to Zachary after he went to Manhattan.

The one thing that I wish could have been expanded more would be the relationship between Zachary and Dorian. I won't go into that more in fear that I will share spoilers.
