Wires and Nerve, Volume 2: Gone Rogue
by Marissa Meyer
Okay, here's the thing- I loved being back with these characters again in both of these graphic novels.
BUT:
1. This could have easily been condensed into 1 graphic novel. Not a lot happening, but A LOT of filler panels and I got bored after awhile. The plot went round and round and round again with little forward progression.
2. Yes, Cinder is supposed to be kind-hearted and diplomatic but where was her bad-ass side? Totally missing. She really made me cringe in these graphic novels.
3. Cress and Thorn completely pushed to the background of this story. You barely notice them at all. They don't play a big enough role.
4. The conflict(s) were really weakly written.
5. The ending felt rushed and tied up quite quickly and neatly.
This just could have been so much ... better. So much... more. The plot was really lacking for two pretty large graphic novels.
