The idea for this was excellent, but the execution was not. There is just too much logic missing from FBI agents who are supposed to be excellent at their job. I love the word  labyrinthine but it doesn’t need to be used every time there are streets or buildings.  Having the sound of shoes on the floor used multiple times in comparison to thoughts multiple times was distracting. 

The descriptions of the setting were beautifully written. The beauty of those descriptions were juxtaposed  to the ugly of what was happening in the story.
