MY HEART! Such a warm and entrancing book. In general, it’s a fantasy book with some romance and love sprinkled in. The writing has a humorous yet kind tone that I greatly enjoyed and the work-building in this story is detailed and fantastical (as it should). This is my first Durst book and I want to read more of her work. 💛
For those curious about the romance aspect: If you’re looking for no 🌶️, and are more interested in the growth of love and attraction between two characters (strangers -> friends -> lovers), then I highly recommend this storyline.
I’ll also note that, while there is a decent amount of the love storyline, the romance isn’t the main focus of the story. So if you’re looking for strictly romance, just know that it is isn’t the main focus and has a lot more going on.
