Audiobook version read by the author. It was so hard to listen to at points, I felt like a voyeur (and some parts triggered some hard memories for me as the spouse of a cancer survivor), but that deep love and connection to her mother shone though and kept me listening. Such a powerful and eloquent meditation on the foods and events that connect us to our loved ones. Her chapter on making kimchi (which was what started this book’s journey) was simply beautiful.
