Listen, did I like the writing? No. But could I put this book down? Also no.
For some reason the mystery here was so compelling I just had to keep turning the pages to find out what happens even though the writing style was dreadful. It was excellent. I hated it, I loved it. The twist was excellent. I’ll never read this again, but if you’ve never read it before pick it up.
