Easily my most disappointing read this year. I really enjoyed Rielle’s story in Furyborn, and tolerated Eliana’s. In this book, I ended up skipping Eliana’s story all together. I simply couldn’t care less about her chapters. About halfway through, I lost interest in Rielle as well.

I had a lot of hope that the world building and Rielle’s powers would help improve the story, but it wasn’t enough. Since we technically know the ending, I felt that there was no point in wasting my time reading anymore.
