Dead as a Door Knocker: A House-Flipper Mystery
by Diane Kelly
This is the first thing I have read by this author and thought it was a solid start to a new series. I'm a fan of the fixer upper, flipper, home improvement shows on cable so this book appealed to me for that reason. The characters were likable and while not a cat person, I enjoyed the brief chapters giving a glimpse of life from Sawdust's perspective. The mystery was pretty well crafted. I thought the pace was a bit slow and it took awhile to set up the mystery. I did enjoy the story and would be open to reading more in the series.
