lsmith36 's review for:
The Girl Next Door
by Jack Ketchum
This book is hard for me to review. On the one hand Ketchum is a talented writer and really draws readers into this narrative. It's impossible to look away and yet you keep doing so and then coming right back like the main character does. On the other hand it is very graphic, and horrible, and hard to get through. I really wonder why Ketchum's focus in most of his books seems to be on traumatizing events occurring to women. It's a troupe that really holds me back from reading more horror honestly.
