The Future of Us by Jay Asher, Carolyn Mackler
5.0

Since I was actually around before Facebook, unlike some of the readers I'm sure, it was easy for me to place myself in the shoes of the main characters and how I would feel if I stumbled across it in the past. I think this book is a great lesson on be careful what you wish for and how every little thing we do in the present can shape the kind of future we will have. But it also is a good way to show teens that what we think we want, isn't always what we will want in the future or even what's good for us.

The two main characters in this book are very well formed and dimensional. I like how you know some of their history as well as seeing their present and their ever changing futures. I'm also sure I'm not the only one who rooted for them to see each other for what they really were throughout the whole book.

I haven't yet read an Asher book that I didn't like.
