Fire Punch, Vol. 2 by Tatsuki Fujimoto
4.0

This is by far one of the most batshit insane manga's I've ever read. This volume jumps from typical weirdness I expected from a mature rated Manga to wtf...and I kind of loved it?

So the story you've come to expect is thrown into the trash can. We are introduced to a new character, the director, and his dream is to make a movie. After all the movies in the world had been burned up and thrown away, she finds herself bored in life. She then wants to make her own movie but to do so she must find her star. The Fire Man! She goes to where he was kidnapped last volume and...well shit goes crazy in a matter of a few seconds.

The series still contains highly offensive things such as harsh language, violence, and rape/nudity. It is toned down some from volume 1, and while the rape is attempted here, it still might be painful to read. That aside, the energy in this volume is lifted up big time. The author is obviously having fun here introducing this new character who basically plays narrator. Even to the point he cuts scenes out to move the pacing along. It's hilarious and interesting take. I also think the art still remains pretty solid with some excellent fight scenes.

Overall, very much worth checking out. This volume is a nice upgrade from volume 1. A 4 out of 5.
