What I loved about this book is that the author really took us along on their journey to learn about the fire in the LA public library. In the same way that you might go off on small related tangents while researching something, so we went with Orlean. It made for a more lasting impression about libraries as a whole and their value, as well as broke up an incident and investigation and otherwise would have felt a bit boring.
