After initially reading the description for this book I was super hesitant to pick it up because I wasn’t sure if it was going to be something I would like. But I kept hearing all the amazing reviews for it and it was eventually part of one of my reading challenges so I thought it was about time I picked it up ....
And boy am I glad I did.
This book absolutely blew my expectations out of the water. You have two amazing characters in Lou and Reid and the dynamic between them is great. Lou is such a badass character that the whole book probably could have been told from her perspective and it still would have been great.
There wasn’t as much romance in the book as I was expecting (which was why I was hesitant to read it, I’m not always a fan of over the top romances) but when it was in the book it was done very well. I liked the gradual build up to the romance as well, I was expecting it to be tacky but it wasn’t.
Overall this book was not what I was expecting it to be and I absolutely loved every page of it! I cannot wait to read the sequel!
