I finished reading this book last night (early morning) while waiting for the election results. I couldn't sleep, and I couldn't get up, and I felt scared and powerless and I decided to just get this over with. I couldn't have made a better choice. It was a comforting read, familiar in a way that books that will become favorites tend to be, and it helped me a lot.
I love it for its bookishness and its faeries and for its "Scouring of the Shire" character. Thank you Jo Walton.
