Had to take sometime to fully process this book and am gutted it's over...for now!

I think the foreshadowing made the plot line very clear from the outset - 

Within 20% of the book I realised Nesta was destined to become a Valkyrie to support a wave of new female warriors and at 25% that she would go on to perform the blood rite.

- That being said, it didn't make it any less interesting and really helped keeping the pacing of the book up across the 700+ pages which i felt had been missing from the previous book. The warfare/political plot is a bit of a slow burn but I didn't mind as I found the training and character development more interesting.

The character development of Nesta throughout this book is such a key cornerstone in this book which I think she needed to really round her out as a character by giving her ambition, vulnerability, romance and new found friendships. 

The heated intimacy scenes 

between Cassian & Nesta

were fun to read and felt really honed in on the wickedness and cheek of the two together. Not some washy romance, but had some nice heat to it. 

This book was also filled with some really touching moments within the inner circle.

the announcement of Feyre's pregnancy to the boys made my heart glow!

Chapter 59 was a personal favourite for this as a reprieve some from of the heavier plot to just focus on some joy in the book. 

Overall when i consider the whole series this and ACOMAF are the most memorable so far. Can't give less than 5 stars as I can't think of a single thing I would change!
