TW: racism, death, murder, kidnapping, blood

This book has so much to offer, including the absolute perfection of retelling the little mermaid story in such a great new way (it fits the culture and mythology so well)! Sadly the characters read a bit dry to me. Simi had great development, but non when it came to Kola and their interactions/relationship. Still a good book with great ideas and mythology.
