I wanted to love Hayden and Alice’s relationship, but it just felt like there was no build up. There was tension, sure, but it moved almost too quickly? I loved the underlying story with Margaret, but even that felt rushed towards the end. I wouldn’t consider this a romance novel, but more like a love letter to love? It wasn’t a bad book, but just wasn’t for me.
