Maybe You Should Talk to Someone
by Lori Gottlieb
This book portrays the reality of life and how we as humans are meant to deal with ourselves and those around us. What is even better about this book is that it is told from the perspective of a therapist who herself seeks out a therapist for her own mental health. This book is honest, it's gritty, and it's even hopeful at times. The author can accurately describe the faults many of us have and show us ways to deal with that, without being ‘preachy’ or too ‘self-help-y’. I absolutely loved this book and it had me in tears near the end. This book highlights the importance of therapy and just how fucking hard it can be for us to face ourselves.
