I don't even know what to say expect thank god this is a series???
This was like a mix between The Cruel Prince and Twilight - which idk how Ms. Ahdieh would feel about hearing that her vampire book is like Twilight, because everyone's first reaction to that is "not every YA vampire book is like Twilight!!!" and yes, they are right. But having a human girl and an inhuman (I say vaguely on purpose) boy that hate each other but are somehow drawn to each other, and the girl is new in town, etc, etc. is pretty reminiscent of Twilight. But it's also a lot like the Cruel Prince and I really think a lot of people are going to love this.
My ONE gripe is that the ending is one of my pet peeves, and I can't decide if that knocks this down a star or not. Especially considering this is an ARC that doesn't come out for quite a few months which means I'm going to be waiting 5EVER for the sequel.
