X-Factor, Vol. 14: Super Unnatural
by Peter David
X-Factor continues to truck along, staying as great as ever.
This volume as Rahne dealing with the aftermath of the last volume. After leaving her child behind after being scared she has yet to come to face with her choices. It doesn't help when she's pushed into the next big storyline, this one involving a mother who was killed violently and a child taken. Jamie gets the crew together to investigate and find out what happened but who's behind these murders? And who will be left alive after these events.
Good: The big reveal at the end was pretty shocking. I didn't expect that person to bite the dust, least for now. I also thought this volume really gave us a reason to care about characters I never even heard about, which is nice. Oh and the art is pretty solid with plenty of moody shots and hopeful ones to give all different vibes.
Bad: Some of the middle is a little padded and the storylines of certain characters seem...weird.
Overall, great stuff. The dialogue remains story and the story interesting. That's all I could ask for in a long running comic series. A 4 out of 5.
