annarella 's review for:
The Many Daughters of Afong Moy
by Jamie Ford
It's not easy to review this book as it's a mix of genre that mixes sci-fi, women's fiction, historical ficiton and deals with a serious topic like mental health.
It's emotionally charged and brings you to some unexplored places like ereditary trauma in a plot where time is a just an accident and past&present mixes.
I loved these women, I felt for them and rooted for them.
It's the first book I read by this author and won't surely be the last.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine
