S.A. Chakraborty thoroughly reminded me just why I love the Daevabad series so much. The River of Silver is a collection truly written for the fans and I loved every minute of it.

The River of Silver added so much richness to my understanding of the characters in the original series. From a peak into the roots of Manizeh's broiling rage against the Geziri to the heartbreakingly tender exploration of Jamshid and Muntadhir's years-long messy love story Chakraborty really sinks into the emotional core of lesser explored characters throughout and I adored it. 

S.A. Chakraborty's writing was truly transportive and beautiful and her ability to capture the achingly tender human moments was astonishing to see. Every single page of this book just had me aching to revisit Daevabad yet again.
