This novella was such a delight to read. Wilson masterfully weaves a story across days and years that just never stopped pulling on my heart strings. It was wonderful to return to the setting of The Sorcerer of the Wildeeps, and learn more about this captivating world, while being immersed in a story about these great characters. Wilson does really interesting stuff with the world's definition of men's work vs women's work. I want so much more in this world, but I feel completely satisfied by the arc of this story - despite and because of all the feels. I'm so impressed by Kai Ashante Wilson. Highly recommend.
